Artist bio
Laura Gilmore grew up in SC where she studied painting at Newberry College. Graduating in 1993, Laura moved to Chicago. Growing up surrounded by nature coupled with a strict religious environment, this alchemy provided a colorful scope for the creative process that nurtured Laura's perspective that life is magical. As a metaphorical story teller and song writer- singer, Laura creates colorful pictures bridging the fantastical and the liminal with the understanding that Art is a portal where the masses can meet and unite in our commonality and equality. As we embrace our own authentic voices and the diversity of ourselves we can tap into the highest vibration, the essence of who we are.
